Yarny Photo Challenge – I’m lazy!

Hello

It turns out I don’t have the discipline to stick with a photo challenge just now. It’s not a big deal and it has at least made me realise I’d like to keep my blog going and share some bits and pieces of craft as I make them.

I have been crafting very simply recently – crochet squares and hopefully working towards a blanket I can donate to KOGO (knit one give one). I also have study to catch up on (a creative art subject) and plenty to keep me occupied at work. So the photo challenge? Not my priority and not worth feeling too guilty about.

I  trying to get myself back into some good habits and it will take some setbacks before I get there. I’m attempting to use a pen and paper ‘bullet journal’ to help me. Let’s see how that goes!

Yarny Photo Challenge – Day 4: Speed

Hello

I feel this photo needs a little commentary.  Remember in 2013 I started a Beekeeper Quilt project?  So far I have made just over 70 hexipuffs (long breaks in between and lots of other projects on the go).  So I thought it would be funny to choose these for “Speed”.  The ones in the top of this jar were made in January, and each one is really speedy – taking about 40 minutes to make.  But the project?  The project is not speedy, I need to make hundreds of these to complete a quilt!  They’re a fun diversion and I still enjoy looking at them, even so.

Adventures in Food Diary writing

Hello

It’s certainly interesting identifying the ingredients of a salad and guessing portions, and then trying to find those foods in a database like MyFitnessPal!

Yesterday I had a tuna Niçoise salad, and today appears to be beetroot, sweet potato, barley and a number of other things. Goats cheese I think, yum! Let’s see what it all adds up to, shall we?

Yarny Photo Challenge – Day 1: Introductions

Hello

Just for fun, I thought I would do the #yarnlovechallenge Photo a Day prompts.  The first prompt is “Introductions” so here I am, clutching a bunch of squares I am currently  crocheting.  I think my big grabby hand shows you how much I love my yarn projects.

I’m adding the prompts here too, in case anyone reading this wants to play too.  The challenge is from maryheatherbrowne.com and oharethey.com – I love a fun collaboration!
